Canadian violinist Frédéric Bednarz regularly gives recitals throughout North Amercia, Central Amercia and Europe. He has played in New York's Weill Hall and Merkin Hall, in Boston, in Kansas City and also in Montréal, Québec, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

A prize winner in many competitions including the Prix d'Europe, the Marseille International Competition and the Val Tidone International Competition, Mr. Bednarz was heard as soloist with the Ottawa and Montreal Chamber Orchestras, the Montreal Civic Orchestra, Ensemble America in New York, OSSIA, the Atlantic Symphony and the Longy Chamber Orchestra.

Chamber music performances include appearences with Anthony Marwood, Richard Lester, Julius Baker, Oleh Krysa, Malcolm Lowe, and the Ying Quartet. He was a founding member of the Yanvar Trio. Bednarz was featured on radio broadcasts with CBC and NPR, and recorded works by Tchaikovski for the XXI Canadian Label.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   
Frederic Bednarz holds a B.M. from the Harid Conservatory where he worked with Sergiu Schwartz and a M.M. from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied under Oleh Krysa. He also worked with Victor Tretiakov in France. In addition to solo and chamber music performances, Frederic was concertmaster of the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra for 6 years. He recently joined the Molinari String Quartet, based in Montreal, Canada.
